INA19x Current Shunt Monitor −16 V to +80 V Common

... The value chosen for the shunt resistor, RS, depends on the application and is a compromise between smallsignal accuracy and maximum permissible voltage loss in the measurement line. High values of RS provide better accuracy at lower currents by minimizing the effects of offset, while low values of ...

... Beating frequency noise is an issue when more than one voltage rail is on the same board. A simple way to avoid this issue is to operate all the regulators at the same switching frequency. The synchronization feature of a set of the A5973D is simply get connecting together their SYNCH pin. The devic ...

... AC excitation is also subject to intrinsic losses. Since the voltage/current is cycling, in an AC solenoid substantial “iron losses” (hysteresis and eddy currents) can account for half of its power dissipation. AC is also not as suitable to many modern industrial applications that use programmable l ...

Gauss Two Bus Power Flow Example

... In previous example we specified S2 and V1 and then solved for S1 and V2. We can not arbitrarily specify S at all buses because total generation must equal total load + total losses We also need an angle reference bus. To solve these problems we define one bus as the "slack" bus. This bus has a fixe ...

Voltage optimisation

Voltage optimisation is a term given to the systematic controlled reduction in the voltages received by an energy consumer to reduce energy use, power demand and reactive power demand. While some voltage 'optimisation' devices have a fixed voltage adjustment, others electronically regulate the voltage automatically.Voltage optimisation systems are typically installed in series with the mains electrical supply to a building, allowing all its electrical equipment to benefit from an optimised supply.
