... V. When the milliammeter is protected, the resistance of the diode is too large in comparison with the coil's resistance to affect the circuit and carry any significant current. If the circuit current rises to about 25 mA, the pd across the meter exceeds 0.6 V. The diode in parallel will become cond ...

... tracking maximum power points is adopted. If the maximum power level of a PV array is higher than the power rating of an MPPT, the two MPPTs will be in parallel operation to function as a single MPPT. Thus, it requires an online configuration check to determine the connection types of the two MPPTs, ...

Metadyne

A metadyne is a direct current electrical machine with two pairs of brushes. It can be used as an amplifier or rotary transformer. It is similar to a third brush dynamo but has additional regulator or ""variator"" windings. It is also similar to an amplidyne except that the latter has a compensating winding which fully counteracts the effect of the flux produced by the load current. The technical description is ""a cross-field direct current machine designed to utilize armature reaction"". A metadyne can convert a constant-voltage input into a constant-current, variable-voltage output.
