... 2 What is a Transformer A Transformer is a passive device that “transforms” or converts a given impedance, voltage or current to another desired value. In addition, it can also provide DC isolation, common mode rejection, and conversion of balanced impedance to unbalanced or vice versa, as explained ...

Another point is that it directly deals with phase (or line) values and no transformation (e.g. dq) is needed and since it considers each phase individually, the zero sequence and unbalance waveforms problems can be handled ...

... Great care must be taken in designing an amplifier that could function properly in the megahertz range. The frequencies between 1MHz to 300MHz are collectively known as radio frequency (RF). Frequencies higher than 300MHz are categorized as microwave frequency (MF). An RF amplifier is an amplifier t ...

Hence to minimize the power losses, we calculated to use both the power of attraction and repulsion, instead of only repulsion. This would bring about using only one coil, and m ...

Metadyne

A metadyne is a direct current electrical machine with two pairs of brushes. It can be used as an amplifier or rotary transformer. It is similar to a third brush dynamo but has additional regulator or ""variator"" windings. It is also similar to an amplidyne except that the latter has a compensating winding which fully counteracts the effect of the flux produced by the load current. The technical description is ""a cross-field direct current machine designed to utilize armature reaction"". A metadyne can convert a constant-voltage input into a constant-current, variable-voltage output.
