... An important observation in Figure 21 is that as we increase the power gain of the amplifier, the required load reflection coefficient L will move towards the margin of stability. This is reasonable because as we increase the gain of an amplifier, the tendency to oscillate increases as any small am ...

AP5726 WHITE LED STEP-UP CONVERTER Description

... Schottky diodes, with their low forward voltage drop and fast reverse recovery, are the ideal choices for AP5726 applications. The forward voltage drop of a Schottky diode represents the conduction losses in the diode, while the diode capacitance (CT or CD) represents the switching losses. For diode ...

Metadyne

A metadyne is a direct current electrical machine with two pairs of brushes. It can be used as an amplifier or rotary transformer. It is similar to a third brush dynamo but has additional regulator or ""variator"" windings. It is also similar to an amplidyne except that the latter has a compensating winding which fully counteracts the effect of the flux produced by the load current. The technical description is ""a cross-field direct current machine designed to utilize armature reaction"". A metadyne can convert a constant-voltage input into a constant-current, variable-voltage output.
