Chapter 8 Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Chapter 8 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

... The K2600 uses a 3-volt lithium coin-cell battery (CR2032) for program RAM backup (sample RAM is not battery-backed). Unlike a typical alkaline batteryÑwhose voltage output declines over the life of the batteryÑa lithium cell maintains a stable voltage until itÕs almost out of power. Once it has use ...

Since the triggering threshold of the first comparator is higher than that of the second one, their difference ( U1  U on1  U on2 ) can be unambiguously used to determine the assigned increment of the input voltage which is proportional to the current‟s derivative, controlled by it. Therefore, th ...

Buck converter

A buck converter is a voltage step down and current step up converter. The simplest way to reduce the voltage of a DC supply is to use a linear regulator (such as a 7805), but linear regulators waste energy as they operate by dissipating excess power as heat. Buck converters, on the other hand, can be remarkably efficient (95% or higher for integrated circuits), making them useful for tasks such as converting the main voltage in a computer (12V in a desktop, 12-24V in a laptop) down to the 0.8-1.8V needed by the processor.
