... optical output aberrations and duty-cycle distortion. At a 622Mbps data rate, any capacitive load at the cathode of a laser diode degrades the optical output performance. Since the BIAS output is directly connected to the laser cathode, minimize the parasitic capacitance associated with this pin by ...

Slip power recovery systems When are Wound rotor motors

... Its three-phase stator is typical of any induction machine and is usually connected directly to the power system, usually a medium voltage source such as 2.3kV, 4.16kV, or 6.6kV. The rotor also has a three-phase winding, usually connected in a wye (or star) circuit. The three terminals of the rotor ...

... A. Output VSWR is a measure of how much power is reflected back from the amplifier's output port when an external signal is applied to that port. VSWR varies from a theoretical value of 1:1 for a perfect match to greater than 20:1 for total mismatch. Since loads in practical applications vary with f ...

... The "to card" sockets can be used as inputs to a circuit, the "from card" proved not working for this purpose. A gate to trigger converter will help make the optional sequencer and pulser pulse inputs work properly with any signal. Here's a simple good working dual one with a CD4093. A 100nF capacit ...

Buck converter

A buck converter is a voltage step down and current step up converter. The simplest way to reduce the voltage of a DC supply is to use a linear regulator (such as a 7805), but linear regulators waste energy as they operate by dissipating excess power as heat. Buck converters, on the other hand, can be remarkably efficient (95% or higher for integrated circuits), making them useful for tasks such as converting the main voltage in a computer (12V in a desktop, 12-24V in a laptop) down to the 0.8-1.8V needed by the processor.
