Theory of relativistic harmonic generation
Theory of relativistic harmonic generation

... observation of phase matched third-harmonic generation (THG) in a highly ionized gas under laser intensities sufficiently large (2 x 1017 Wlcm’,) that relativistic effects are expected to be important. The harmonic radiation is found to be emitted in a narrow cone (of radius 5.6 degrees) in the near ...

... form because of short range interference. It's similar to the ripple patterns you see in a Foucault test when the knife edge is out of focus. Edge diffraction is a good example of this. So you might have to throw away some data near the edges, and that's not ideal. A second issue is one I haven't se ...

Laser beam profiler

A laser beam profiler captures, displays, and records the spatial intensity profile of a laser beam at a particular plane transverse to the beam propagation path. Since there are many types of lasers — ultraviolet, visible, infrared, continuous wave, pulsed, high-power, low-power — there is an assortment of instrumentation for measuring laser beam profiles. No single laser beam profiler can handle every power level, pulse duration, repetition rate, wavelength, and beam size.
