The Manufacturing Knowledge Repository. Consolidating
The Manufacturing Knowledge Repository. Consolidating

... The manufacturing industry is faced with strong competition making the companies’ knowledge resources and their systematic management a critical success factor. Yet, existing concepts for the management of process knowledge in manufacturing are characterized by major shortcomings. Particularly, they ...

... BF-baseline algorithm is not feasible in practice. The main reason is that BF-baseline algorithm requires to maintain H in memory. The peak size of H can be very large because of the exhaustive combination until the first current best solution bkc is obtained. To release the memory bottleneck, the d ...

... traditional sense. There are many examples in GAMS, however, to show that it is a matter only of style, not of feasibility, to write the code for processes, rather than what we tend to regard as purely algebraic. Moreover, AMPL has special specifications for networks that enable a formulation define ...

Operational transformation

Operational transformation (OT) is a technology for supporting a range of collaboration functionalities in advanced collaborative software systems. OT was originally invented for consistency maintenance and concurrency control in collaborative editing of plain text documents. Two decades of research has extended its capabilities and expanded its applications to include group undo, locking, conflict resolution, operation notification and compression, group-awareness, HTML/XML and tree-structured document editing, collaborative office productivity tools, application-sharing, and collaborative computer-aided media design tools (see OTFAQ). In 2009 OT was adopted as a core technique behind the collaboration features in Apache Wave and Google Docs.
