... It follows from (1.9) and A(0,Q\a,$) = 1 that A(r,s\a,(3) is a polynomial in a,j3 and that the numerical coefficients in this polynomial are positive integers. Algebraic properties of A(r,s\a,fi) corresponding to the known properties of A(r,s) have been obtained in [ 3 ] ; also this paper includes a ...

Since A*2 is the identity on Dom A*, it follows that DomK= Dom A* and T( V) c T(QUQU) because QUQU is a unitary transformation defined on all of H. On the practical side, one can use conservation of energy, momentum, etc. to unravel many aspects of the motion of a system without having to explicitly integrate the equations of motion. Indeed for systems with one degree of freedoms, a conservation law usually determines everything! More ...

Tensor operator

""Spherical tensor operator"" redirects here. For the closely related concept see spherical basis. In pure and applied mathematics, particularly quantum mechanics and computer graphics and applications therefrom, a tensor operator generalizes the notion of operators which are scalars and vectors. A special class of these are spherical tensor operators which apply the notion of the spherical basis and spherical harmonics. The spherical basis closely relates to the description of angular momentum in quantum mechanics and spherical harmonic functions. The coordinate-free generalization of a tensor operator is known as a representation operator
