May 2001 LT1815: 220MHz, 1500V/µs Amplifier Saves Space and Power

... Table 1 summarizes the performance of the LT1815. Note that the LT1815, a voltage feedback amplifier, slews at a rate of 1500V/µs or 670ps per volt. A high slew rate not only reduces the settling time (15ns for a 5V step to settle to within ±50mV), it also extends the effective frequency range of th ...

My first effort to remedy this problem was to clean this pot with spray TV tuner cleaner, but this did not help. Next, I replaced the pot, but this also did not solve the problem. I finally decided that t ...

AN-9066 UniFET — Optimized Switch for Discontinuous Current

... It is obvious that the UniFET has far less energy loss than the super-junction device at high current condition. Also, the UniFET outperforms the super-junction device as gate resistance becomes larger. The only test point where the super-junction device does better than the UniFET is at the lowest ...

Audio power

Audio power is the electrical power transferred from an audio amplifier to a loudspeaker, measured in watts. The electrical power delivered to the loudspeaker, together with its sensitivity, determines the sound power level generated (with the rest being converted to heat).Amplifiers are limited in the electrical energy they can amplify, while loudspeakers are limited in the electrical energy they can convert to sound energy without distorting the audio signal or being damaged. These power ratings are important to consumers finding compatible products and comparing competitors.
