... In power distribution system reactive power is the main reason of increasing power quality problems [1] and system losses. Normally, Static Var Compensators (SVCs) have been used in combination with passive filters at the distribution level for mitigation of power quality problems [5], [6] and react ...

... A transistor biased in the linear region can be modeled with a small signal equivalent circuit, assuming only small signals are applied. A first order small signal model is given in Figure 5.51(b) in Sedra and Smith, 5th Ed., p. 448. This model will be sufficient for the work in this laboratory. Whe ...

... The operational amplifier U2 was selected for a low input bias current (MOSFET or JFET input stage) and a high open-loop gain, to minimise the input error voltage. In this case, the popular TL072 is used. The amplifier inputs InP and InN can tolerate serial resistors, for protection and=or as part o ...

... The term “mid-band” refers to the frequency region in which the amplifier gain is constant (see Fig. 4). In this region, the impedances due to the coupling capacitors (CB and CC ) and of the bypass capacitor CE are negligibly small (i.e., they can be replaced with short circuits), and the impedances ...

Audio power

Audio power is the electrical power transferred from an audio amplifier to a loudspeaker, measured in watts. The electrical power delivered to the loudspeaker, together with its sensitivity, determines the sound power level generated (with the rest being converted to heat).Amplifiers are limited in the electrical energy they can amplify, while loudspeakers are limited in the electrical energy they can convert to sound energy without distorting the audio signal or being damaged. These power ratings are important to consumers finding compatible products and comparing competitors.
