LT1993-2 - Linear Technology

... use, with minimal support circuitry required. Exceptionally low input-referred noise and low distortion products (with either single-ended or differential inputs) make the LT1993-2 an excellent solution for driving high speed 12bit and 14-bit ADCs. In addition to the normal unfiltered outputs (+OUT a ...

The voltage drop across RG1 sets the voltage drop across RSENSE, with a larger voltage drop resulting in more current delivered to the PA. The voltage drop across RG1 is set by A1, A2, and the V-to-I ...

... An important advantage of the X-AMP is its superior noise performance. The nominal resistance seen at inner tap points is 41.7 Ω (one third of 125 Ω), which exhibits a Johnson noisespectral density (NSD) of 0.83 nV/√Hz (that is, √4kTR) at 27°C, which is a large fraction of the total input noise. The ...

Tube sound

Tube sound (or valve sound) is the characteristic sound associated with a vacuum tube-based audio amplifier. After introduction of solid state amplifiers, tube sound appeared as the logical complement of transistor sound, which had some negative connotations due to crossover distortion of early transistor amplifiers. The audible significance of tube amplification on audio signals is a subject of continuing debate among audio enthusiasts. Many electric guitar, electric bass, and keyboard players in several genres also prefer the sound of tube instrument amplifiers or preamplifiers.
