Unit 9 - Problem Solving Project
Due Wednesday April 20th, 2011
Your task: Create a problem solving book, showing your abilities at problem solving. You
must have a minimum of 10 word problems (2 can come from class problems or homework
problems). Each problem must be solved entirely and provide an explanation that models
our classroom problem solving rubric (see attached). You have been given a list that is
included in this packet. You have freedom in the problems you choose to do, however each
problem will be graded on the following:

2. Read through the work once carefully.
3. On the second read through, make suggestions and comments in a different color.
 Identify when something isn’t clear
 Make suggestions about organization
 Check formulas, diagrams and work for accuracy
 Check to see that they have told the problem and the important information from the
problem,
 Clear answer
4. At the end,
1. Give a compliment
2. Make a suggestion or two for improvement
