Activity 1: (10 min)
1. Write the definition of a quadrilateral.
2. Draw and label the quadrilateral PQRS.
3. Use the quadrilateral in (2) to identify
a. Two consecutive vertices
b. Two consecutive sides
c. two consecutive angles
d. two opposite angles
e. A diagonal
4. What is the sum of the interior angles of a quadrilateral?
Activity 2: (10 min)
1. The ratio of the angles in a quadrilateral is 1:2:3:4. Find each angle.
2. In quadrilateral ABCD, m<A = 3x + 20, m<B = 2x, m<c = x + 50 and m<D = 4x – 10.

1. In quadrilateral ABCD, m<B is 3 times m<A. m<C = m<A and m<B = m<D. Find
each angles.
2. In quadrilateral PQRS, the consecutive angles are supplementary and the opposite
angles are equal. If m<P is twice m<q, find each angle.
