ASSISTANT
FACILITY MAINTENANCE
TECHNICIAN
Turtle Bay Exploration Park seeks to hire a full-time Assistant Facility Maintenance Technician to work
as a member of the facility maintenance team. The position will assist with:







troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all building mechanical systems, including fire
suppression systems;
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units;
gas- and electric-powered vehicles;
kitchen appliances including walk-in refrigerators/freezers; building chillers;
stand-alone refrigeration units;
drinking water fountains; and
sewer/drainage/pump systems.
Position qualifications and background required includes:
1.
Training or hands-on work experience as a mechanical technician with respect to heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is desired. Experience in a Class B office building and
knowledge of proprietary building automation systems such as Metasys or comparable
applications will be considered a plus.
2.
An AA degree is desirable but not required.
3.
Maintenance knowledge and skills including such areas as construction, electrical, welding,
plumbing, etc. are a plus to assist with maintaining structures, playground equipment, benches,
boardwalks/decking, etc., throughout Turtle Bay’s site.
4.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
5.
Ability to use Microsoft Office a plus
6.
Possess a valid California driver’s license; have a clean DMV record, and be able to drive a
vehicle. The ability to operative heavy equipment is highly desirable.
Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment physical (including heavy lifting between 25-100 lbs.)
and a drug screening. A clean DMV record and possession of a valid CDL (or the ability to acquire one
within 10 days of hire) are required.
