Create a Country Midterm Assessment Part 1
Introduction: This project will test your research skills, your critical thinking skills, and give you an
opportunity to do what we all would like to do: rule your own country.
Directions: You are to create either a CIA Factbook page, travel brochure, or a Power Point
Presentation along with a map drawing of a fictitious country. Please follow the directions,
expectations, and rubric for whichever project you choose. Your country should be as creative as
possible. Use your imagination. The sky is the limit. Have fun. But it must be logical!
Choice A: CIA Factbook Page and Map:
Part 1: CIA World Factbook Page: The World Factbook provides information on the geography,
people, economy, and government of a country. You must create a fake (as in typed not on a website)
page for your fictitious country. Use the following like as a reference if needed:

country. The brochure should provide travelers with information on the location, geography, people
and culture, economy, and government. Create a colorful, informative brochure to entice others to
come visit and move to your country! This brochure must be done neatly on the computer.
