Use the following reading, questions, and key terms to help you focus your studying for the exam. The
test will consist of multiple-choice questions, a map, and several extended response questions.

What were the key issues on which the political parties differed? Why?
-What were some of the early domestic and foreign policy challenges faced by the United States? How
did the United States address these challenges?

- To what extent did Jefferson’s Republican views affect his policies as president?
