Fundraising activities for the grade 9 trip
Lucky Duck Lotto
We will begin selling Lucky Duck lottery tickets (sponsored by Recreation Nova Scotia). Tickets come in
books of 10, and sell for $10. Students will earn a profit of $3 for each ticket sold.
Students wishing to participate in this activity will sign for the number of books of tickets they wish to sell.
They will be responsible to return any unsold tickets along with ticket stubs and money.
Tickets and money will be due back, no later that February 19. Money earned will be credited to individual
accounts.
The prizes for the lotto are as follows:
1st prize: $3000 cash
2nd prize: $500 cash
3rd prize: weekend getaway
Plus 7 prizes of $100
Valentine’s Day Roses
Students will begin selling roses next week.
Roses will cost $4 each and will be delivered on Valentine’s day
All orders must be in by January 31 to ensure delivery for Valentine’s Day
Money raised will go into the general trip account.
Citrus Sales
We will be selling oranges, grapefruit and tangelos in March. This will be another great opportunity for
students to raise money for their trip.
Gift Card Tree
We will be asking students to bring in a $10 gift card and/or $10 to purchase one. We will create a gift card
tree and students will sell tickets on the tree. Money earned from ticket sales will be credited to students’
accounts.
Merchandise Bingo/Auction
Plans are underway organizing a bingo and/or auction in April. More information to follow.
We will also sell popcorn in school, have bake sales and other events.
