FLEX SERIES MODEL 19 SIMPLEX REPEATER CONTROLLER
The FLEX SERIES MODEL 19 SIMPLEX REPEATER CONTROLLER is
designed to replace the discontinued ZETRON MODEL 19. The CSI FLEX 19 is
commonly used by volunteer fire departments to extend the range of their base
station by adding a second remote site for full coverage.
Most of the circuitry in the controller is operating at 3.3 volts. This allows the
system to operate in a super low power mode compared to our existing products or
the products of our competitors. This will extend the battery life for those systems
operating on solar power.
SIMPLEX REPEATER FEATURES
50 MIPS MICROPROCESSOR
The computational power of this product is
so much higher than any previous
communication controller to allow features
that our competitors can only dream about.
DUAL SIMPLEX REPEATERS
For extended coverage, an additional FLEX 19
system can be located at a third remote site for
reaching zones which are impossible with a
single remote site. Contact CSI for this
information.

voice message as received from the
originating site.
REGENERATES TWO-TONE
The FLEX Model 19 requires an external
optional two-tone decoder. The Motorola
(OR) Plectron tones are automatically
regenerated and transmitted followed by the
stored voice message.
JTAG INTERFACE
This is a special interface that will allow the
owner to change the program inside the unit
at any time to allow the creation of different
products.
DIGITIZED VOICE
Voice from the radio is digitized to an
accuracy of 12 bits to allow functions not
possible using any other type of technology.
PUSH TO TALK
Open collector transistor output can be used
for keying the transmitter.
SQUELCH DETECT
Allows the system to generate an internal
COS to free up the COS Input for another
function.
LCD DISPLAY
Allows the user to see in plain English the status
of the system as well as a means to program the
product.
FLASH MEMORY
Programs can be instantly changed and updated
via E-Mail or the internet without the need for
Connect Systems having to send new software
via UPS or Snail Mail.
EEPROM MEMORY
A separate EEPROM memory is supplied to
allow storage of parameters and other functions
without loss in case of power failure.
COS INPUT
Allows the detection of carrier by means of a
connection to the radio.
LEVEL CONTROL
Most levels can be set by a pot on the PCB and
remotely using DTMF.
