Mission
Utalk Radio connects with young adults to convey values-based solutions to their
life challenges.
Show Description
Utalk Radio is a new interactive radio show for young adults. It’s a safe place for
them to speak their minds, ask tough questions, make comments and get
solutions to life challenges. Utalk is special features, celebrity interviews and
music. It’s unique, authentic and compelling. A special online community has
been built to facilitate on-going conversations and follow-up with listeners.
Highlighting the program’s uniqueness is a format that features three on-air
personalities – each with a distinctive role – offering varied life experiences and
values-based solutions. When young adults are struggling with life’s challenges
they turn to Utalk.
Meet the Show
Steve Russo
Steve is Italian and it comes out in everything. He’s a dork, warm hearted,
A.D.D., practical joker, uses the word “cool” too much and gets bored easily. He’s
always looking for good BBQ, pizza and Gelato when he’s not playing drums..
Childhood ambition: professional drummer
Soundtrack: Rocky
Alarm clock: 6:30 AM
Perfect Day: One of 2 places - hanging out at the beach ending the day with a
great fresh fish dinner or by a lake in the mountains finishing the day with some
awesome BBQ.
First Job: delivering papers so I could buy my first drum kit.
Animal: Tiger
Movie: Can’t pick just one…The Godfather, Rocky IV, Inception, Catching Fire to
name a few
Indulgence: Dark chocolate, Moose Tracks Ice Cream and pizza
Favorite place to visit: Italy
Dinner with anyone: Jesus & Gandhi
Little known fact: Member of a dance troupe while in elementary school and tap
danced on TV.
Larissa Lam
Larissa is an only child, which explains why she often talks to herself and stuffed
animals. She is obsessed with Garfield, penguins and purple. She is a loyal
Lakers and UCLA Bruins fan. She grew up watching way too much TV and is
also a musical theater geek.
Childhood Ambition: Music Producer
Soundtrack: The Lion King
Alarm clock: 8:00 AM
Perfect Day: Going to SeaWorld to see penguins, having a nice dinner at a
French restaurant and eating profiteroles for dessert.
First Job: Worked in the shipping department of a computer company one
summer when I was 16.
Animal: Penguin
Movie: Fave musical is Singing the Rain. Fave action film is Die Hard. Fave
comedy is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Fave animated film is Happy Feet.
Indulgence: Cream Puffs
Favorite place to visit: Australia
Dinner with anyone: Bono and Quincy Jones
Little known fact: I was 4th runner up in the Tiny Miss California pageant when I
was 3 years old.
Kati Russo
Kati lives for film and acting. She’s prone to tripping on level ground and weird
injuries – even though she’s only broken one bone. She is obsessed with cats,
eating healthy, and the colors pink and purple and shopping. Kati collects key
chains and spoons from every place she visits. She loves hanging out with her
friends and taking her sister on "sister dates."
Childhood Ambition: To be an ER Nurse
Soundtrack: Can’t choose just one: Mamma Mia, The Rocker, Grease, Les
Miserables
Alarm clock: 7:00 AM
Perfect Day: Sleeping in late and spending the day reading a good book or going
to the beach with friends.
First Job: Babysitting

Divergent, Disney: The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Psychological
Thriller: Inception, Shutter Island, Musical: West Side Story.
Indulgence: Coconut and Vanilla covered Cashews, Sweet Potato fries

Dinner with anyone: Johnny Depp, Kevin James and Will Smith together, Katy
Perry, Jesus.
Little known fact: I performed in the half-time show at the Fiesta Bowl.

Executive Producer: Aaron “Cappy” Cappotelli
Cappy has been on the air and producing Top 40 Radio shows in LA and Dallas
for 20 years. He has produced On-Air with Ryan Seacrest and Kidd Kraddick in
the Morning. He is also a media and journalism teacher. Cappy loves music,
movies and TV. In his spare time he enjoys photography, travel, reading,
running, and gardening. Oh, and he likes a good scented candle. Don't judge!
