c. Lake Baykal ( Baikal ) – deepest lake in the world ( just over a mile deep –
contains 1/5 of all the fresh water in the world )
VII. East Siberian Mountains
a. Lena River to Pacific Ocean
b. Many mountains and active volcanoes
c. Kamchatka Peninsula – 25 active volcanoes
VIII. Arctic Lowlands
a. Northern most region of former Soviet Union
