Newton, Bernoulli, or Archimedes
Newton’s, Bernoulli’s, and Archimedes’ laws and principles are essential
to our understanding of life and physics. Such as, when we can throw a ball
harder, we make it go further, why objects float or sink, and how a wing of an
aircraft or bird helps it fly. Out of the three physics concepts, Newton’s laws are
the most important, Bernoulli’s principle is the second most, and then
Archimedes’ principle
Newton’s first law is ‘an object at rest remains at rest and an object in
motion remains in motion at a constant speed and in a straight line unless acted
upon by an unbalance force’. His second law of motion is, ‘acceleration of an
object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied’.
Finally Newton’s third law of motion is the well known saying, ‘for every action
there is an equal and opposite reaction’.
Newton’s laws are the most important and essential because we use them
everyday and are essential to life. Although the other principles are important,
Newton’s laws explains the reason why we can jump, walk, swim, hit a ball with a
bat to help it fly further and launch planes into space. It also explains why we
need airbags. Without knowing Newton’s laws, it will be difficult getting where we
are today and understanding why we can do these things.

Bernoulli’s principle is ‘as the speed of a moving fluid increases, its
pressure decreases’. This is important because this helps explain how the
transportation of aircrafts and birds work. The Bernoulli principle affects the
wings of the aircraft or bird. For instance, the pressure under the wing builds up
and creates a higher pressure which results in lift. This help a bird or plane fly.
What also happens, is the air going over the top is moving faster, creating a
lower pressure, which adds on the affect of lift.
Archimedes’ principle is last out of the three concepts, but still is
important. The Archimedes principle is ‘ the buoyant force on an object in a fluid
is an upward force equal to the weight of the volume of fluid that the object
displaces’. This is significant because it helps determine how much how much
water to put in your bath, to
.
Although all three concept s are important to know, Newton’s laws effect
us the most in our daily lives, then the Bernoulli’s principle, and last is the
Archimedes principle.
