The god I have chosen is Apollo. The reason why I have chosen Apollo is because
I really had no choose, so I was sort of stuck with this god. There are many special and I
interesting facts that I have learned about Apollo. Apollo is the god that is in charge of
music. Apollo was born in the sunny Greek island of Delos, where he was born along
with his twin sister, artemis. Apollo’s children The enchanting semi-divine singer
Orpheus and Asklepios, god of healing, are the most famous of Apollo's offspring.
Apollo had conquest that numbered in dozens. He mastered archer and was a fleet-footed
athlete, credited by having the first victor in the ancient Olympic Games. He had a twin
sister, Artemis, which was the guardian of young women, and Apollo was also special
protector of young men. He was also the god of agriculture and cattle and of light and
truth. He taught humans the art of healing.
Apollo is in many respects of a Greek god. He represents order,
civilization, and harmony that in a way other Olympian deities can not equal too. Apollo
obtained his position by his parents. Apollo’s parents were Zeus and Leto. Associated
with are god is the chariot that he drives across the sky. Apollo was something you would
call a player or a pimp now days. Apollo was a legendary in mythology for his love
affairs. Some of his wives were Cassandra (the gift of prophecy). That didn’t work so he
moved to Muse Calliope (the poet and singer Orpheus). Obviously that didn’t work out
so he moved to Coronis (this mortal woman became the mother of Apollo's son
Asklepios). That one didn’t work out either so here to another one named Daphne (she
earned her place in Greek legend when she fled from the unwelcome advances of
Apollo). Take a guess and think again that one didn’t work so he moved to Hyacinthus (

died of a deadly accident). So one more chance with Sibyl of Cumae (became the victim
of Apollo’s anger.) one of Apollo’s powers were teaching men medicine that was one
other gift he had about himself. He was the god of truth and couldn’t speak a lie.
