Accountability in Goal Setting:
Improving Subjective Well-Being
By: Rachel Payne, Bryan Jensen, Andrew Briggs,
Yohan Delton Ph.D., and Samuel Clay Ph.D.
This study explored the effects of accountability in goal setting in
relation to subjective well-being. Results indicate that when
undergraduate students are asked to track the daily progress of their
goals, they are more likely to report greater subjective well-being.
Instructor’s Theatre Training Improves
Student Retention and Attitude
By: Carl Day and Yohan Delton Ph.D.
We trained an instructor in theatrical techniques to
improve delivery in the classroom. The instructor then
lectured normally in one section of a class and used the
theatrical training in a different section. A delayed
evaluation revealed better student retention when
theatrical techniques were used.
