On gender-based violence:


Survey-based prevalence of gender-based violence was
collected for the first time in the 2008 National
Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS), through the
Women’s Safety Module.
Other administrative-based data on reported cases of
violence against women is available from the Philippine

On Gender Statistics

On time-use statistics:

To date, a National Time Use Survey has not been
undertaken in the Philippines.
In 2000, a Pilot Time Use Survey (TUS) was conducted
by the National Statistics Office in two barangays (village)
in the country.
Using the results of the pilot TUS as well as data from
other sources, the NSCB generated estimates of GDP
and GNP by sex and “adjusted GDP and GNP” by sex
(i.e., accounting for unpaid house work of women and
men).
