Research Funding Analysis and Reporting Using SASIEIS Frame Software Christine Tyre, American Cancer Society FARS (Funding Analysis and Reporting System) is a SAS EIS/AF and data warehousing system developed to provide an efficient data entry and reporting tool forthe scientific classification and analysis of research grant applications. It provides our users with quick access to the data to determine what research is being done in various areas (e.g., organ sites) and how much money has been awarded. Also included in the system are comprehensive browse windows for management to view both the general data regarding an application and the scientific classifications aSSigned to an application by an analyst. The system uses mapping, drill down reports, OLAP principles, and object-oriented programming.
