ABSTRACT
Weighting is often used when regression models are estimated from survey data. Survey
weighting methods can provide consistent estimation of regression coefficients under
unequal probability sampling. In this paper, we emphasize on the design weight method and
the modified weight method which minimizes the variance of the estimated coefficients. We
apply to the olfactory dysfunction data from the National Social Life, Health and Aging
Project [NSHAP], where we fit a logistic regression model with mortality rate as the
response and various variables of health science interest included as predictors.
