• Georgia is in the western & northern
hemispheres.
• GA is north of the equator & west of
the prime meridian.
• The Fall Line separates the Piedmont
region from the Coastal Plain Region.
It is the prehistoric coastline.

• Catholics – afraid they would sympathize
with Spanish Catholics in Florida.
• Blacks- no slavery allowed.
• Liquor Dealers – avoid problems associated

• Lawyers – wanted colonists to settle
