Rome took charge of the entire Italian Peninsula
 Rome signed a treaty with the Latin
 During a period of 100 years the Romans fought
many wars with the Etruscans
 Rome nearly ended
 The Gaul took the Romans’ money and burned
most of the city down
 The Romans rebuilt Rome


Rome fought three big wars with Carthage
 Rome’s wars against the Carthage are called the
Punic Wars
 The first Punic War was fought mostly at sea


