Characteristics of
Phylum Arthropoda
- Segmented bodies are arranged into regions,
called tagmata (in insects = head, thorax,
abdomen).
- Paired appendages (e.g., legs, antennae, wings)
are jointed.
- Possess chitinous exoskeleton that must be shed
during growth.
