Cells have evolved two
different architectures:
Prokaryote “style”
Eukaryote “style”
Prokaryote cells are
smaller and simpler
Commonly known as bacteria
10-100 microns in size
Single-celled(unicellular) or
Filamentous (strings of single cells)

Does not have a nucleus
