IMPARTS Seminar: The underpinnings of
mood disorders in physical health conditions
Our next IMPARTS Seminar will focus on the complex relationship
between mental and physical health. The seminar will be held between
2pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday September 16th in the Governor’s Hall at St.
Thomas’ Hospital, Waterloo. The programme includes a wide variety of
presentations, from a broad epidemiological perspective provided by
IMPARTS’ own Professor Matthew Hotopf, to a specific focus on
particular conditions, namely: chronic pain (by Lucie Knight, INPUT Pain
Management team); dermatology (by Mark Turner, clinical psychologist
at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology); dialysis (by Joseph Chilcot,
Lecturer in Health Psychology); and musculoskeletal physiotherapy (Nicky
Wilson, Consultant Physiotherapist at King’s College London). The
afternoon is being chaired by Nicky Thomas, Head of Psychological
Services at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals. To find out more about how
to book your place at this free event, visit our webpage!
