Laser Resurfacing
A truly effective procedure for
eliminating difficult facial wrinkles
What is Laser Resurfacing?
Laser resurfacing is a safe yet aggressive way to treat skin
conditions, even deep wrinkles around the mouth and eyes
Main reasons to have a laser resurfacing procedure:
•Literally erases signs of solar damage and deep wrinkles
•In-office procedure, done with topical or local anesthetic
•Often makes patients look years younger
•Much more effective and precise than chemical peels
•Combines with other procedures for improved results

How does Laser Resurfacing work?
• Laser resurfacing precisely ablates (vaporizes) a layer of the
skin, eliminating old, damaged tissue in the process
• Wrinkles and blemishes such as sun spots and pigment
irregularities are vaporized and replaced by healthy skin
Conditions that can be treated by laser resurfacing:
•
•
•

What else should I know?
• Deep resurfacing with a Sciton TRL laser is much safer than
with CO2 lasers
• May also stimulate collagen remodeling for firmer skin
• The laser can be easily fine-tuned for:
–
Individual skin conditions
– A patient’s desired outcome
– Downtime expectations
