AZƏRBAYCAN MİLLİ ELMLƏR AKADEMİYASI XƏBƏRLƏRİ ELM və İNNOVASİYA seriyasının İNNOVASİYA BÜLLETENİ № 6 UOT 539.1.08 QURĞU İLƏ TƏNZİMLƏNƏN OPTİK ŞÜALANMA ƏLAQƏLİ İNFRA QIRMIZI İNTERVALINDA ORTA HESABLA ÜÇ XASSƏ ƏSASINDA BİR SPEKTR HAZIRLANMASI Date of presentation PROJECT IDEA Vilnius, 6-8 November, 2013 Project name: Elaboration of tunable coherent optical radiation in the average IR range of a spectrum on the basis of triple chalcohenides Proposal outline: To obtain analytical expression for conversion efficiency in the constant-intensity approximation permitting to take into account the influence of phase effects on the process of frequency conversion of laser radiation; To investigate the dependences of frequency conversion on parameters of task (the length of nonlinear medium, pump wave intensity, phase mismatching between interacting waves, absorption coefficients); To estimate an expected conversion efficiency on different wavelengths of laser radiation; To calculate of the angles of phase matching and angular dispersion coefficients for crystals on wavelengths of the IR range; To estimate the width of angular phase matching and angular mismatch from direction of phase matching; To calculate the optimum parameters of both crystal-converter and a source of radiation for conditions of uncritical phase matching; To determine the angular disperse coefficient of first order (or second order) for crystals; To compare the obtained results on conversion efficiency with analogous results in case of other crystals and with corresponding experimentally measured values. Project objectives: (outcomes, socio-economical impacts) It is offered to carry out the following problems on the basis of theoretical study of the nonlinear process for wave interaction in the constant-intensity approximation: the detailed analysis of second harmonic generation in IR region crystal; the parametric wave interaction in new triple chalcohenide crystals; the definition of a condition of effective tuning of parametrical generation in wide area of wavelengths of the radiation, exceeding similar existing converters; the elaboration and manufacturing of the pilot equipment based on the new perspective nonlinear crystals (LiInSe2, LiInS2, BaGa4S7, LiGaS2, LiGaSe2) with high output characteristics. 2 Date of presentation WANTED Competences & Skills wanted (Technical, Design, Coordination, Writing, etc) Technical - physics Types of partners sought (Industry, SME, RTD center, University, User-groups, etc) Scientific research group at University or at Scientific Research Institute Work to be performed (Prototyping, Programming, System Integration, Dissemination, Engineering, etc) Engineering 3 Date of presentation SKILLS OF THE PROPOSER Please describe your own skills, competences and expertise relevant to the project idea Participants of research team of the project have certain experience on theme of the project and appropriate publications on investigation of nonlinear wave interaction, of the process of frequency conversion in optical media. The team, which will be work under the project, consists from specialists working with different problems of physics of semiconductors, nonlinear optics and quantum electronics. Principal Investigator of the project (Kasumova R.J.) has advanced experience on investigation of nonlinear wave interaction, of the process of conversion of optical frequency.
