STUDENT SENATE AMENDMENT
STUDENT SENATE AMENDMENT: Due to rising enrollment, the Executive Board passed an amendment in summer
2013 to the SGA Constitution that increased the number of positions on the Student Senate, in order to better
represent the interests of the Student Body. However, this solution proved unwieldy, and the new seats were not
filled. The purpose of this new amendment will be to:
1. Reduce the Student Senate in size back to a more effective and manageable level
2. Implement a Student Senate Leadership Stipend

STUDENT SENATE AMENDMENT
EXECUTIVE BOARD CRITERIA REFERENDUM: In order to increase the representation possibilities to skilled
professionals currently enrolled in Graduate programs at Reinhardt University, the Rules & Regulations
Committee hereby recommends that appointed positions selected by the Student Body President shall be
allowed to be enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students. These appointed Executive Board positions are as
listed:

STUDENT SENATE REFERENDUM
STUDENT ACTIVITY FEE REFERENDUM: The Student Government has proposed an increase to the Student Activity
Fee by $50/semester, bringing the total fee to $100/semester, in order to improve student activities and
programming. If the Student Body approves this referendum with majority support of participating voters, the
proposed increase will take effect in Fall 2014.

STUDENT SENATE REFERENDUM
GREEK LIFE REFERENDUM: The Student Government Association of Reinhardt University intends this Act to set
forth a policy supporting the establishment of Greek Life. This Act endeavors to protect the rights of the students
of Reinhardt University who request recognition, assembly, and representation of national fraternities and
sororities within the Student Government Association. This referendum is made in response to a petition by the
Student Body advocating for the establishment of Greek Life.
