There are no recognition agreements for accountants from Ghana with
comparable qualifications in other countries.
Accountancy Education in Ghana
Candidates for ICAG membership have to complete a program of professional accountancy education, complete
practical experience requirements and pass final examinations. ICAG’s education system incorporates all the
requirements of the International Education Standards (IES). ICAG’s MCPD has also been reviewed in line with
the requirements of IES 7, Continuing Professional Development. The Institute is in the course of further
enhancing its education system to benchmark that of ICAEW.
