The STRIX R48 is a Remote Steam Switch designed to ensure optimum performance in the control of steam
in water boiling appliances. Its reduced size enables greater design freedom without compromising quality or
reliability.

Functional Description:
The STRIX R48 is a remote mounting single pole automatic steam cut off. It is electrically connected to a
heating element protection circuit by means of wiring terminated with 4.8 x 0.5mm female receptacles.
Installation
The switch is situated such that the snap action bimetal sensor is located in a steam path. When steam
reaches the sensor the switch operates and opens the electrical circuit, cutting off the power to the heating
element.
