2nd grade Science
A plants life cycle starts with a
seed
 Inside of every new seed there is a plant
 The outside of a seed is called the “seed
coating”
 The seed will grow with help from water &
air
 When the seed receives water & air-it will
begin to sprout
 The sprout will grow to look like the plant
it came from
 As the sprout begins to get larger, it will
grow roots, stems, leaves and flowers
 This will create more seeds and the cycle
will begin again!
