Dan Beyer began work as a composer assisting Hans Zimmer at Media Ventures in Santa Monica in
2001 working on films such as "The Ring" and "K19". During this time he was hired by FOX
Searchlight to compose and produce music for the trailer to "Le Divorce" and complete projects
for SAG (featuring Lou Diamond Phillips, and Haylie Duff). His first film as composer ("Glorybox")
won numerous awards (including best original score Archeofestival - Perugia, Italy) and played at
over a dozen festivals in Europe. Beyer went on to score three independent feature films, six
shorts, and has written for over a dozen television series' in his short time as a Film/TV composer.

He brings a unique sensibility to film and television since his background as a composer is anything
but typical. Beyer holds a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies from the University of Denver, was
awarded a full scholarship to USC's Thornton school of music for an MM, and holds a certificate in
film scoring from UCLA. He has played in four successful bands as a guitarist ranging from Jazz to
Rock and even Hip Hop opening for the Violent Femmes in 1999 and performing live on KUVO
radio Denver.
