The genesis for Reassessment was a task to
create works that challenge preconceptions.
I wanted to concentrate on a thematic thread
that not only brought us together as a creative
team, but the audience as well. Gender is the
common thread between Too Far Again, Not
Far Enough... (part one) and Agile (part two).
Gender is something every “body” has. I am
intrigued by the things we see in other human
bodies and I was interested in placing two
works side by side that offer very different
perspectives on the question of gendered
bodies. We aimed to create an evening which
questions how we perceive other people
through gender and sexuality.
Thank you to all the creative contributors
and especially the dancers - you have
my heart.

RUBY & PRANKSTAR | KRISTY MORGAN
Costume Designer (Agile)
Ruby & Prankstar is an Australian artisanal label drawing on
traditional metal-smithing, saddlery and leatherwork techniques
to create jewellery, leather accessories and objets d’art.
Metals are forged and precious stones and objects cradled to reveal
an innate imperfect beauty. Animal fibers and leathers are bound
and sculpted by hand offering contrasts in structure and texture.
Ruby and Prankstar explore the dark rawness of nature, the duality
of its structural elements and cycles of transformation.
