AP WORLD HISTORY

The AP World History course is designed to
prepare students for the AP World History Exam


The Exam presumes at least one year of collegelevel preparation
The goal of this course is to develop a greater
understanding of the evolution of global
processes and contacts in different types of
human societies around the world

The course will provide a balanced coverage of Africa,
the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania
HOW IS AN AP COURSE DIFFERENT?

assignments than a non-AP secondary course
 Students will be completing more writing assignments

assignment
 Students will also need to commit to keeping up on all
reading and homework assignments throughout the
2010-2011 school year

