MARKETING ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCES RELOCATION OF CORPORATE
HEADQUARTERS, 140 EMPLOYEES TO DOWNTOWN DETROIT
Marketing services firm to occupy space in Campus Martius Park
Detroit, Mich. – September 13, 2007 – Marketing Associates, a leading
technology-enabled marketing services firm, announced today that it will relocate
its corporate headquarters to downtown Detroit from Bloomfield Hills. Marketing
Associates president and CEO Mark Petroff was joined today by Mayor Kwame M.
Kilpatrick, Edsel B. Ford II, George Jackson, Jr. of the Detroit Economic Growth
Corporation and Ann Lang of the Detroit Downtown Partnership at a press
conference to announce the move.
“We’re thrilled to join the ranks of companies already enjoying the rebirth of
downtown Detroit,” Petroff said. “Moving here fosters a greater sense of community
for our employees. From being a part of a vibrant business district to the social
benefits of working downtown, we are creating an environment designed to inspire
and motivate, which we hope will retain employees and ultimately, promote growth
for the company.”
The company’s new headquarters will be located at 777 Woodward Avenue in
Campus Martius Park. The newly-constructed 50,000 square-foot space will allow
the company to grow to 225 employees. Employees will include account
executives, project managers as well as creative designers and technical
programmers/developers that support the company’s varied client base. The
physical move will occur next month.
In addition to being the largest independently-owned interactive marketing services
firm to operate downtown, Marketing Associates is also working closely with Detroit
Renaissance to further develop and participate in the “Creative Corridor” initiative,
a program designed to grow metro Detroit’s creative community along Woodward
Avenue.
“Our core business is the process of melding creative services with interactive
technologies, so our participation in the Creative Corridor makes perfect sense,”
Petroff said. “We look forward to the opportunities it will create to help local
businesses succeed within the city.
