524 Creative Wins Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards
Marietta, Ga.—December 7, 2009— 524 Creative, Mariettas newest boutique marketing, advertising and PR
agency, today announced that it has received a platinum award for its Art for the Heart logo; a gold award for its
2009-2010 Marketing Strategy for Pigtails & Crewcuts; and an honorable mention for a billboard designed for The
Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona, Fla. The 2009 MarCom Awards were presented by the Association of Marketing
and Communication Professionals.
The platinum MarCom award, the MarComs highest honor, went to a series of logos created for the First United
Methodist Church of Mariettas Weekday Ministry for use in their annual Art for the Heart fundraiser. 524 Creative
also donated a micro site, as well as provided photography and other design services to help promote the event.
Held every February, this event represents the only fundraiser for the preschool program. This past year, despite
the recent recession, the event raised the most ever to date.
A gold award was won for a comprehensive marketing strategy created for Pigtails and Crewcuts and an
honorable mention was given to a billboard created for The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla.,
which was placed on I-4 just east of Orlando.
“These award-winning projects represent the variety of the clientele that we have— both small and large, with
budgets just as varied— from our hometown church to children’s hair salons, to a high-end resort and spa. We
are very honored to receive recognition of our efforts from AMCP,” said Scott Wright, principal of 524 Creative.

Communication Professionals. There were nearly 5,000 entries in this international competition, which recognizes
outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
