In this curved area of Jacks Run, a steep
drop off was formed from soil erosion
caused by the stream’s constant flow.
To remedy this situation, the streambank was
re-established and vegetation was planted.
Then low flow deflectors were installed to
capture sediment and gently nudge the water
around the bend to help prevent severe soil
erosion from occurring here again.
