THE WORLD NEEDS YOUR HELP The Pittsburgh region climate action group will: Ensure that elected officials are fully aware of the impact of climate change on our region, and that they act accordingly. To this end we will create a cadre of citizen advocates. Educate constituents about the impact of climate change and how they can influence their elected representatives. Pursue fossil-fuel divestment campaigns for institutions such as the City of Pittsburgh. Support specific campaigns that have a direct impact on climate change. Examples are Solarize Allegheny and the Clean Rivers Campaign. Stay Connected & Spread the Word! Our Vision We envision a future where policies and actions at the local, state, federal and international levels will have ensured a stable climate that provides an opportunity for all people to achieve health, prosperity and fulfillment. Our Mission We will promote an understanding of the devastating impact of climate change on the urban and rural communities in the region among the elected representatives and officials throughout the Pittsburgh region and will hold elected representatives and officials accountable for any decisions that lead to further worsening of the planet’s climate. www.Pittsburgh350.org
