Perlast ® – in a class of its own
For some applications there is no alternative to a perfluoroelastomer (FFKM/FFPM). In these cases it is
good to know that you can trust in the extraordinary Perlast® compound from COG. As a state-of-the-art
product Perlast® combines the chemical and thermal resistance of PTFE with the elastomer properties
of an FKM. It is used where other elastomers cannot do the job and maximum reliability is required.
The Perlast® range of elastomers offers performance characteristics that span the most demanding of
applications across various industries. Perlast‘s flexibility provides you with a number of advantages. The
combination of in-house tooling, extensive range of materials and rapid production means, that nonstandard O-Rings and custom components can be supplied just as easily as BS/AS or other standard
sizes – with exceptionally short lead times. Special Perlast® compounds are compliant with FDA, USP
Class VI and clean room requirements which are used e. g. in pharmaceutical and food industries.
Advantages of Perlast ®:
• Excellent all-round performance with universal capability
• Maximum chemical resistance of all elastic sealing materials
• High temperature stability up to +327 °C, depending on the grade used
• Low compression set
• Excellent vacuum performance
• Wide range of approvals/ licences
• Ring diameter up to 2000 mm possible

Perlast ® – A range of products
for various applications
Industrial applications:
Perlast ® G75TX
The FFKM compound Perlast® G75TX
sets new standards. With an operating
temperature range from -15°C up to
+327°C, an excellent chemical and acid
resistance, a compression set of just
8%, the material performs well even in
difficult applications. Due to its high
thermal capability, low outgassing,
excellent mechanical properties and a
very good steam resistance Perlast®
G75TX is an all-rounder for highest
demands.
• High temperature resistance
up to +327 °C
• Excellent chemical resistance
• Compression set from just 8%
• Good mechanical properties
• High steam resistance
• Universally applicable
Perlast ® G80A

cost-ratio that can be used in various
industries. Exceptionally high acid and
amine resistance and excellent
resistance against chlorinate and
solvent-based media.
• High temperature resistance
up to +260 °C
• High chemical resistance
• Excellent mechanical properties
• Wide range of applications in
chemical industries and refineries
Perlast ® G92E
Perlast® G92E offers exceptional
chemical compatibility, combined with
excellent thermal and explosive
decompression resistance. Excellent
compression set provides a long-term
sealing capability and improved leak
prevention.
• Excellent explosive decompression
resistance (AED)
• Very good thermal resistance
• Exceptional resistance to methanol,
sour gas, hot water, steam and oils,
beyond that of conventional TFE/P
(Aflas®) and FKM polymers.
• High chemical resistance
• Excellent compression set
Perlast ® G75M
Perlast® G75M is a black, multipurpose, perfluoroelastomer
compound that provides ultimate
all-round resistance to a broad range
of chemicals. It offers an extremely low
compression set and is ideally suited
for use in mechanical seals and
multi-substance chemical plants.
• Extremely low compression set
• Broad chemical resistance
• High mechanical
strength
• Superior longterm sealing
efficiency
Perlast ® G75B
The top all-rounder for all kinds of
applications. Increased chemical and
acid resistance as well as excellent
mechanical properties. Resistance
against steam and hot amines – also
suitable for vacuum applications. In
addition, this perfluoroelastomer has
low permeability and as a result, it is
less prone to swelling, leading to
extended in-service performance in,
for example, valves, pumps and
mechanical seals. A high modulus
makes G75B resistant to extrusion
and ideal for use in high pressure
environments. Temperature stability
up to +325 °C.
• High temperature resistance
up to +325 °C
• Excellent chemical resistance
• Very good mechanical properties
• High steam resistance
• Very high sealing efficiency
• High pureness
• Less than 2% swelling in MIL-L23699C jet-oil after 336 hours
at +200 °C
• Long-term sealing integrity even
after a long period of time in high
temperature application
Semiconductor/Vacuum:
Perlast ® G67P
Perlast ® G74P
Perlast ® G75H
An ultra-pure grade of translucent
perfluoroelastomer, specially developed to
meet the demands of the semiconductor
and bio-analytical industries. Compatible
with fluorine based chemistries and
universally suitable for both wet and dry
semiconductor processes including
lithography, plasma, PVD, CVD, Etch,
stripping and cleaning. G67P features
extremely low outgassing properties,
making it ideal for use in vacuum applications. Because of the very small filler
material particles it is also suitable for very
shortwave length laser light applications.
Same characteristics as G67P, but this
elastomer differs in some points, e. g.:
the hardness, tensile strength,
elongation at break, modulus and
compression set.
Perlast® G75H is a synthetic pure
compound, specially developed for the
semiconductor and vacuum industry. It
is suitable in an operating temperature
range from -15°C up to +320°C. This
compound has an excellent resistance
to aggressive oxygen and fluorine
based plasmas. Because of its
extremely low outgassing properties
PERLAST® G75H is used in the vacuum
technology applications.
Perlast ® G75B
More information can be found in the
topic “Industrial applications”.

The utilisation time is important.
In a production process efficiency is essential and second only to quality assurance. A reduced life-span and
shorter utilisation time of an unsuitable O-Ring increases the maintenance rate and this causes high installation
costs and production downtimes. So
