Wannasurfers Liquid Dreams and the Meadowmere Resort have joined forces to support the Surfrider Foundation Contributed by Friday, 25 May 2007 Last Updated Tuesday, 31 July 2007 Ogunquit, Maine - Liquid Dreams and the Meadowmere Resort have joined forces to support the Surfrider Foundation. As Maine's largest surf shop and Ogunquit's first Environmental Leader hotel, Liquid Dreams and the Meadowmere Resort will launch the Surf Ogunquit package on World Ocean Day on June 8. Video demonstrations, surfing education, live music and conservation information will be on hand throughout the weekend to launch Surf Ogunquit, a two night getaway that includes two hours of surfing instruction, board, wetsuit, breakfast, late check-out and more. With every surfing stay, Liquid Dreams and the Meadowmere Resort will donate a percentage of the package to the Surfrider Foundation - a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. The hope is to educate more people on the joy of surfing while also increasing the awareness that we must protect our oceans for future generations to enjoy. Liquid Dreams was established by Mark Anastas in 1996. It is recognized as the largest surf shop in Maine and continues to offer beginner and advanced surfing lessons to the state's many visitors. The company opened its first shop in Ogunquit and also features a second store with direct access to York Beach - both locations feature a wide range of surf fashion and surf gear. Meadowmere Resort was established by the Cavaretta Family in 1983. It is recognized as an Environmental Leader by the State of Maine and continues to offer affordable deluxe accommodations and outstanding amenities in Ogunquit. The hotel welcomes guests year round to enjoy Ogunquit Beach, Perkins Cove, Marginal Way and more from its central village location. http://www.wannasurf.com/community Powered by Joomla!
