Dear Church family and friends: Thank you for sending me to the Missions
Conference. It was an enlightening/exciting experience and I return to you
with mission flames in my heart. The same theme ran through the entire
conference, that we are a people of peace, we have Christ’s Spirit within us,
and we are called to be His witnesses. We can be missionaries without leaving
our home by praying for and supporting our world missionaries and
reaching out to the lost in our community. If you have a desire to serve in
other ways, prayerfully consider joining our church missions team. Please
check out the links I included to read the keynote speakers profiles. Mary Jo

Be a missionary for God anywhere, He wants you under His sky. Everyone
go and make “Christ-like” disciples. Do not let fear hold you back from
sharing Christ’s love with the lost. Just let yourself be God’s instrument,
His hands, His feet. Pray up, go out and ready yourself to be used by
God. Don’t you want your witnessing to be relevant to the world God has
placed you in? Relevant: bearing upon or connected to the matter in
hand; pertinent.
Be fearful or be faithful. God is doing a new thing, be a part of it - step out
and go! “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall
ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in
the desert.” (Is. 43:19 KJV)
“And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and
powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer or what ye
shall say, for the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye
shall say.” (Luke 12:11,12 KVJ)
LET THE WALLS FALL

We are the body of Christ. We are His arms, hands, feet in our world. We
are His body in our world. He in us and we in Him. Find ways to connect
with people who are non-believers. It’s God who saves, we are called to
bring people to God, He is the One who does the saving. Do you know
people who don’t believe that God exists? Get outside the walls and
bring them to God. It’s not all up to us. God is calling that person to
Himself - it’s God’s desire to see people redeemed. Be available to do
what we can do so He can do what we cannot do! It is sometimes the
“nothing” that we do that God can use to make “something”. He will do
the work for He is the One calling them. Be willing to cross those
barriers of non-belief.
Be willing to do whatever God calls you to do. God came down from heaven
to earth so you could have a relationship with Him and He wants us to do
the same for others. Are you willing to let God, through you, break down
the walls? Behind challenges are opportunities. Jesus loves us and He is
coming again. We have fabulous news to proclaim to a lost and dying
world.

Christianity vs. Buddhism
Karma is always retribution. In Buddhism there is no “good” karma.
Buddhist’s are interested in peace. When witnessing, tell them stories, of
creation, Noah, Jesus and His power to overcome demons. These
people love storytelling. Pray with them. When God answers prayers He
awakens hearts. Be holy, filled with the Spirit, be free from sin, it’s a
powerful witness. Dare to ask God to show you that He is real.
David and Naomi Phillips have requested prayer for a chancellor for the
Nazarene College in the SE Asia area. Presently David is serving in that
capacity along with a multitude of other duties and responsibilities that he
has. Also please pray faithfully for the missionaries deployed to Nepal for
the earthquake disaster relief and for our missionaries all over the world.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matt. 28:19 KJV)
