This event will take place on

June 21st at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K,
8:00 a.m. for the 5 K, and 8:30
a.m. for the 1 mile fun walk. This
event will be held at the Benjamin
Franklin Parkway. General
registration is $30.00, and day-of
registration is $35.00.
WHAT IS IT?
Prostate cancer is a form of cancer that develops in the prostate, which is a
gland in the male reproductive system. After skin cancer, prostate cancer is
the most common cancer found among men. It is usually found within males
over the age of 36, and is most often successfully treated. In fact, there are
currently 2.5 million survivors in the United States alone.
Each year, the Foundation for Breast & Prostate Health partners with
Channel 6 ABC and several other business partners to host its 13th Annual
Father’s Day Gary Papa Run- named after a beloved 6 ABC sportscaster,
Gary Papa. This event brings together thousands of prostate cancer survivors,
families, members of the medical community and runners in spirit of
defeating prostate cancer. Proceeds from this run will go to promote prostate
cancer awareness and fund educational programming and screenings for
men in the Delaware Valley. For more information or to become a sponsor,
please call Collen Daley at 267-273-1706.
