Solid ASP.NET [Web stack (ASP.NET using VB.Net, MS-SQL, IIS, C#) HTML / CSS /
JavaScript] Developer for Fourways, Gauteng.
Overview
Mobile Communications & Strategy company requires ASP.NET Web developer; to join a
team in building new and support existing front and back-end Web-based applications. This
person will also develop, test, support, and modify customer integration application systems
and database systems, as well as document all systems designed and modified.
KPA’S:
 Perform complex web site design activities, which may require extensive research
and analysis on the existing ASP.NET web content management system.
 Support and maintain current ASP.NET web content management system front-end
and back-end code development and integration of ASP.Net Web Services
 Perform design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, multiple project
modules and systems
 Perform complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support
 Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality
 Provide assistance and consultation to users in the development of systems and
software
 Accommodate demand by users, setting priorities when appropriate and escalate
issues
 Collaborate with team members to review functional requirements and translate them
into a system design
 Assist Project Managers in developing implementation plans, including the
scheduling of project milestones
 Be responsible for the functional integrity and proper operation of all assigned
systems
 Maintains and verifies all associated program source code.
 Provides analytic skills used in designing logic for programs from functional
specifications.
 Prepares proper test requirements and procedures
 Verifies all output with users and staff before releasing to users.
 Provides maintenance, support & disaster recovery for applications.
 Assists users with training, procedures and testing
 Develops user friendly internal use applications in support of business needs
 Creates clear documentation
 Utilizes time management to assist completing requests/tasks in a timely fashion
 Design, code, and publish user friendly and effective web front-end interfaces.
 Collaborate with other team members, font end designers, and marketing team
members to establish a consistent "look & feel" user experience thought-out all
systems
Desired Qualifications – with proven experience:
 3+ years using Microsoft's web stack (ASP.NET using VB.Net, MS-SQL, IIS, C#)
HTML / CSS / JavaScript
 1+ years jQuery (Plugin development a plus)
Solid Understanding of:
 Object Oriented Programming
 Relational Database Design
 Semantic HTML5
 Unobtrusive JavaScript & jQuery
 Web Services / AJAX
Personal Attributes:
 Accurately communicate project development status to Business Solutions Manager
 Attend team meetings
 Maintain the highest level of integrity, courtesy, respect, and professionalism while
interacting with, project team members, employees, and business contacts
 Provide timely, detailed, and accurate accounting for support and development tasks
